Side Steps

Hi all,
Time to tap into the bottomless knowledge of the forum that is AULRO.:D

I recently purchased a set of side steps from a fellow AULRO member (thanks again) Part No STC 8505. They are LR accessories for mid 90's+ HSE Rangies but fit D1's as well.
Any way I made the mistake :wasntme: of assuming I could source and purchase the mounting brackets separately (they are bolt on step jobbies).:mad:

A quick ring around LR places has confirmed this. :(

Luckily, I am able to have them manufactured at low cost ;) (don't ask) if I can get a sample or some photos or even dimensions.

Anyone lend some sage advise?

Are you sure they fit the D1 ?
The P38a has a longer wheel base.

I have brackets that I can photograph & measure for you but I don't think the side steps are going to fit.

Hey Scouse,
No, I am not 100% sure they will fit but indications are good. (Worst case, I'll make 'em:twisted:)
I have held them up in place and they seem to fit just right, that is they fit neatly between the wheel arches.
Granted, the chassis mountings may have to be modified but I'll do that if I have to.
If they turn out not to fit, then I'll have to buy a p38!:(
