Side protection Strips Fitted

I fitted a set of side protection strips to the D3 today, bought them from here (http://www.roverparts.com/ProductList.cfm?Vehicle=LR3&PerPage=20&Category=ACC%2E%20%2D%20%20EXTERIOR&SubCategory=Body%20Protection)
and they arrived within 5 days airfreight. Total cost $210 delivered. Sure beats the $500 and something I was quoted by the dealer.

Strangely enough, I've found them to be too low for urban warfare.

I'd probably agree with you although I have been leaving it at maximum height in carparks. I'm thinking of maybe getting / making some sidesteps in the future, My D2 has the protection strips and after 7 years of parking in Canberra has very few dents so i figured these ones were better than nothing.
