Defender Stripes

Following the Rollyincident, the panels have been respareyd (one side) and had the decals removed to match (other side). Original decals are unavailable (not that I care), but I the guy says they could get some decals made up for me, of that or 'similar' type.

So I was wondering...

What variations of Defender decals are there ?

Please post photos.

Don't restrict yourself to genuine LR stuff, just any decals you may have, or have seen, fitted to a Defender.

Pics would be VERY helpful.


Even can get busy with Photoshop if you feel in the mood :D

Best one I ever saw was on an early Defender 200Tdi on Magnetic Island off Townsville. They had changed the lettering to read OFFENDER on each front door.

You can actually by decal kits from John Craddock's in the UK. I think they are about £17.

I like the defender Tanami decal, or the les hiddins signature decals...

now to find a pic of each....

I recently had some panel damage fixed by the family panel shop. The cost of the Defender decals from LR was going to be several hundred dollars. They had just done another defender before mine with the same issue.

Yes, buying them from places in the UK was going to be far cheaper. Ended up buying none as I was never a fan of the Defender decals.

a wonder you can't find around cheaper... One of the landy spare parts places with a display at Cooma had County stickers for $5 a pair... maybe give them a buzz... will track down the name of which one it is tomorrow if interested ;)

I was thinking alomg the lines of non-standard decals / graphics.

Jim Pearl had some stripe kits for sale @ Cooma, he purchases from UK :) normally lives on Russel Island, specialises in Series 1 stuff though, but might have something to suit.
