Hi All
For the last 3 or 4 months i have been searching for a second hand Tdi 130. I have been looking in the trading post and on all the online car sales sites i can think of. It is seeming almost impossible to find one with 200,000km or less on the clock. I don't know if i should steer away from something that has 200+ as i want a vehicle that i am going to keep for a long time.
Does anyone know of any online sites that are not common knowledge or dealers around Aus that have some Tdi 130's with lowish km's? My requirements are pretty simple
Tdi, Mechanicly good (would be checked out by a landy expert prior to purchase), less than 200,000km (or am i dreaming?)
Look forward to your opinions

I've got a mate who is considering selling his. He's been umming and ahhing for the last month or 2 about quitting it.
It's a 2000 130 with the TD5 engine, so maybe too new for you perhaps. It's got 205,000Km on it, Winch (10,000lb) and bullbar with brush side bars. Long range tank (120L). UHF. He wants something over $20K for it (I think that means like $20,500 or $21,000......). It's a nice straight vehicle and as you'd expect an 8 year old car to be.
If you're interested let me know and I'll PM you his details and he can give you the full story.
Cheers

Gillie also had his for sale if I recall correctly.

I also have a friend who has a 130. 185,000 on the clock but never really used for 4wding Just to get to his hobby farm and over it. once aorund Oz also. Would sell it if the right price was there. I wanted it because I know this guy takes care of everything he owns like it was the only one in the world.

it took me over twelve months to find mine unmarked tub maxi drive axles and rear diff lock only ever used for touring eg the canning and cape york 74000kms and pretty tidy, now that i went mad with the compressor and got most of the red dust out. keep looking at private posts on carsguide ,a good one will come up sooner or later

Gillie does indeed have one for sale. After the addition of a work car to the family It is excess to requirements up until a few weeks ago when my lovely adorable wife crashed my work car! I think I will be in it for another two weeks until it is straightened out, but it is so much more fun to drive than a ford falcon!
Like yourself I looked for around four months maybe a bit longer. I saw alot of 130's that had had a hard life and the one I settled on was one that I saw earlier in the piece. Mine was owned by the director of Brooks Motors in Albury, (a landrover second hand dealer) This was his own personal car and I had to convince him to sell it. If you would like to know more have a look on around page 4 I think of the markets section or pm me. I have no complaints about mine and prefer to drive it then the wifes TD5 Disco. I was thinking of advertising else where soon and I would prefer it to go to someone on the forum.
Cheers
