Just a quick one to get some photo's up.

Mick G with Andrew and Charlie, Bolts, and Sam and I went to Cityview park on Saturday lunchtime for a bit of a recee for a trip they are looking at organising.

Met up in Nerang, for a bit of a convoy over. Mick Leading, but Bolts giving directions from the back!

Aarrived, paid up, got the 'rubbish' maps and aired down.

Few photos are below.... with captions.

My damage

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2008/05/399.jpg

Wasnt a bad day.

Only real issues were my nsr half shaft, Bolts CDL refusing to disengage, and the stupid amount of nasty looking spiders!

thankfully it only took 20minutes to change the broken shaft.

Looks like you had fun and is enough to inspire me to move my **** and get another Rangie asap.

That creek track is a ripper. I was up there a couple of montha ago after the rainfall they had, washed that creek track into something else. Much harder than it was before and good fun too :twisted:

Thanks to Pete and Sam for the photos - was an interesting run for a couple of hours although there was only one other 4x4 in the park so we had the park to ourselves. With all the rain they have had a lot of the park is now over grown and the play area tracks, wombats ect have been washed away including the mud run. The tyre section is over grown so you cant get in there. Had some fun for the 3 hours we were there apart from my cdl locking in and sending my traction control and abs into a spin. Had to drive home with cdl in. Rick got it unlocked this morning, all electrics are fine but the arm from motor to cdl is stripped :o hence wont disengage, so it has to go back in for Rick to pull it all out to get to arm and replace it  another bill. Still was good to get out for a couple of hours, and thanks to Mick, petean Sam for a good run.

Bolts if the CDL plays up next time, if you carry a small shifter around with you, it's easy to unlock it manually. You may have to wait a while for the exhaust to cool down but you can just get in there and turn it with the shifter, problem sorted and you can drive home as per normal.

Other option is to take one of the driveshafts off, rear is easier and takes less than 20 mins.

Think of it as 'character'. Plus it won't hurt as much the next time around if you do the same thing :twisted::twisted:

Yeah, was a good day.

Hitting an overhanging branch I think... At about the same time it broke the shaft...

Nothing a cut and polish won't fix :wasntme: Plus you collected some out native fauna there too.

Guess the 90 has had it's Aussie christening now, a dent in the roof and a busted axle. Well done :D:D

That will be the same tree that bit my rear Pete and cracked my window surround......and it is the same tree that bit my roof lines last time I was at cityview......in fact all my roof injuries, on both sides have come from that exact tree................i'm taking the chainsaw next time:twisted::D

LOL mick - now we know why you dont like cityview and that creek run:p and yes it is the same tree that has done all the damage to your roof, :D have to ask Drange to be on next trip as he has chainsaw in boot of rangie and cut that branch just for you:twisted: mind you now that the dents are in the roof the Mack truck should just flow with the same dents next time we go in :p:D:D:D

Get a Rangie classic, no high roof and you miss the trees. Problem solved :wasntme:
