tdi exhaust system

when buying the 97 disco last week i had the bonnet up and had the disco running . it all ran fine and everything looked good . How restricted is the exhaust system because i could hear engine noise through the air box. Is it just a matter of removing one of the mufflers or replacing the whole system ? Thanks :)

i removed my centre muffler at first, $40 i think, not too noisey as the resinator is still fitted at the rear

i replaced the whole system when i fitted my pto winch, no muffler or resinator

the only real noticible thing i noticed was that the turbo spools up quicker......and a lot louder, well so people tell me
