as announced when i got it back online, you get 24 hours to correct your posts. after that you will need to ask a mod to do it for you.. TIA

G`day Inc ,
just so i have it right in my own mind are you saying other than as is , the Edit function won`t ever return ?
My only interest for it is in Tech , i have been advised of reasons why this action had to be taken and won`t argue the point any further .
For my own selfish reasons i`d just like you to clarify this for me .
Cheers
Peter

/me hands plr some spectacles
the edit button is already back. ;)
i replied to a query on the appearance of a delete button and said there never will be one (mainly cause it is already in a drop down menu for those that have the power to use it)

G`day Inc , sorry i misunderstood and yes your right over the last 6mth i have found a need for reading specks though i still see the screen fairly well .
I understand the 24hr delete function and first read of it when you posted on the 26th ( i think ).
Sorry if i wasn`t clear with my question and sorry to pester with what i`m sure to you seems to have been answered a number of times but my question , understanding that the function is there for 24hrs and that Mods etc have the use of and can be called upon , is ............
Will the Edit function without time limit ever return to the Tech section and only the Tech section for basic members ?
Cheers

Sorry Peter, the software doesn't allow the settings to be different in different areas so it will be staying standard throughout AULRO... 24hrs to edit posts after they have been made and then if a change needs to be made after that contact the section moderator ;)

Thanks ,
i thought that may be the case but if i didn`t ask i wouldn`t know .
Contacting the Mod i don`t see as a viable option because it will mean trying to explain where and why , i agree it will be easy enough in some circumstances but some not so .
The easiest i can see would be to Quote my own post and make the changes that way but as i thought the amount of usage within the site is a problem this won`t help .
Im not saying i don`t understand the reasons why , just wanting to have it clear for myself and don`t need to continue with this subject as i understand how it is .
Again , Thanks
