Hey guys,
Can't find the pic I took of the wiring before I disconnected it all......

There are three power wires located at one end of the fuse box in the engine bay. They are actaully bolted on, so you can't miss 'em:
* Fuse panel to firewall power stud under the brake booster RED
* Alternator power feed (heavy cable) BROWN
* Power out to relay (light cable) BROWN

At the end of the fuse panel we're talking about, the cables are separated by a hole/gap in the plastic casting. On one side is two bolt holes, the other one. Assuming one is for power in and the other for power out......

My suspicion is the red power wire goes on the side where there is only one bolt, and the other two are on the other side. Although the light brown relay wire on this car was routed from the same outlet below the brake booster as the red was......

When you have a spare couple of minutes, could someone let me know which ones run from where?

I will try to take a pic when our camera batteries are recharged........

Here's a pic of a 300tdi fusebox

The feed from the alternator comes in at the top bolt. The connection to the battery is the bottom bolt. I'm not quite certain where your red wire connects to, or what that other brown wire is ( My glowplug timer relay connects direct to the battery)

Cheers mate, just a couple more q's to clarify:
* you've only got the two wires running from yours?
* the alternator feed goes on the very front (and upper in the pic)?
* the power from the battery goes to the lower one in the pic?
* You wouldn't be able to do me a close up of the fuse panel lid, would you? I don't have one......

Thanks!
