Hello folks,

just after some advice, i've had the HDC, ABS & TC lights come up on my dash, took the car into Ayres and had them cleared, they took it for a drive and found no other fault's logged, and gave it the all clear. When i went to collect the car after hours, i did'nt even get into third gear before they came back on.

HDC, ABS & TC are all working fine by the way,

These are the codes they found:

Pump relay open circuit
LHR sensor electrical failure
LHF sensor output Intermittant
Shutle valve Switch Electrical Failure
LHR corner valve power amp open circuit
unknown fault code 0000

The car works perfectly fine and i've not noticed anything at all different, so my question is, before i take it back to Ayres and hand them my ATM card, what can a guy who has'nt got a clue what he's looking at...look at?

Or am i about to be in a world of financial pain?

cheers,

Ray

not sure if this is relevant, but the same problem happened in my dads cruiser
we took out the fuses and got some new ones in there, it seemed to do the trick, but as i was saying, i wouldnt have a clue if its the same thing.

Id be taking it back to where u went and said they stuffed up and need to fix it properly.

There is a whole range of things that can set these off - however a common one is dust or dirt in the air gap in one of the sensors. A clean can help.

I get the three amigos on my Freelander from time to time when turning sharply but switching off and on resets them and I have no ongoing problems. Look for the easy things such as dirt first.

Had that happen to my Flandie as well - took it to Alto (they were the closest at that time) and it turned out to be dirty ABS sensor. It was cleaned and adjusted and all's well. However I got the three amigos once when I took a speedhump a little too quickly. Engine off then on and all's well again.

Right, looks like i need to clean sensors and give that a shot then!

Recently had them on 3 times - cleared the errors when serviced (wheel sensor & shuttle valve). All good! Then happended the day after the service and the day after that - all cleared after a restart - and nothing since, but it was like he was reminding me who's really in charge here...
Think I'll probably be doing the shuttle valve just to eliminate one link in the chain.
Good luck!
