Hi All,

I am new to the Forum. I live in Victoria' Mornington Peninsula and taking delivery of new Defender in August. I want to add a few things like aux fuel tank, roof rack etc. Is there a place I can get it all done in one place or do I have to take it to different shops. I'd rather go to one place and if possible. Any suggestions.

George

Welcome to the forum, George - and congratulations on a fine choice of vehicle.

I got my roof rack (RackMaster 2.0m) & aux fuel tank (45l gravity feed - fits in driver's side rear wheel arch) at Opposite Lock - check out their website for further details.

You should be able to get most, if not everything, from them although shopping around will give you the best price along with more choice for particular accessories. Obviously - the usual suspects would be ARB and any other 4 X 4 outlet.

Some select genuine accessories are also nice - although expensive - depends on your budget.

Maybe you might consider joining the LROCV. We get some good discounts from the Melbourne dealers, ULR/MLR and Lance Dixon and some discount from Ritters.
Dealer accessories are still a bit exy but servicing of your new vehicle will be substantially cheaper than normal stealer prices.

I ordered a defender start of Feb for July delivery.

Well I've heard the wait is now 7 months for a 110 - you could ring a dealer and ask. If you want a 130 - there's one sitting at Southside Land Rover but as I don't know where you live that info may be of little use!

(you can update your location - makes it easier for people to help you out. ;))

I would suggest you pick up the phone and dial around the dealers. And not just the ones in your own states. A friend of mine wanted to get one last week. He collects it tomorrow:cool:. Only problem is it has seven seats when he only wants five. The dealer gave him a deal and took $1800 off. Pays to shop around my friends.

Try Southern Cross in Toowoomba.
