Hi guys

just trying to get the plans together after the planning department asked for more info... so a few questions for you clever lot

i'm trying to find out the approximate cost per m3 of concrete as im thinking of dropping a slab down rather than leave the existing block pavers there. this is WA by the way :)

the other thing im trying to find out is how to specify the termite control on the plans i currently have

· Biflex @ 1% applied to relavent Australian standard (AS 3660) by (insert company name here
· Applied as required by standard to footings / slab

Thanks in advance .. im sure i'll have more Q's

Steve

Just done my plans/permits. Concrete varied from $170-$180+gst a cubic metre. Termite stuff is easier to ring a company and they can give you the low down on it. Costing for mine was either $23 per pipe entry through the slab, or $920 for a blanket spraying before the slab goes down, and $270 for the external spraying after completion of the house.

Steve,

For anything like termite protection, the best thing to do is to write it onto the plans themselves. You'd only have to write it onto the floor plan page. Council can then see what it is to be and approve/disapprove as they see fit.

They used to just stamp the plans with a standard clause about termite protection to be done the the AS or whatever, but they're really into their own backside protection these days so probably want specifics.
