d1 v8 flat spot,miss

my 94 disco has got a flat spot /miss from a cold start between 2700rpm to 3500rpm.. when reaches normal temp only has the flat spot no miss.
plugs and fuel filter have been changed.. no difference...
been plugged into rovacom no faults here... timimg checked
coil & leads rotor & cap are 5 years old (50,000klm) should i change these as well....
any suggestions thanks brett....

When did it start? After something was changed on the engine?

This sort of thing is common if you have replaced the alternator with a Bosch.

nothing has been changed on engine/ but you mention alternator? mine is making a slight noise..could this be the gremlin....

I had similar problems (misfiring, and also stalling at idle). Problem was a bad connection from the alternator to the battery, causing the electonic ignition system to cut out...
