Hey All
Unfortunately I have missed out on the group buy for the nanocom units, but am still interested in getting one. Anyone know where I could get one in Australia?
I have contacted Bearmach directly and am waiting for a cost and timing.
Cheers

Don't know of a local stockist but I purchased mine from here Mail Order 4x4 NANOCOM Diagnostic Tools (http://195.50.115.202/acatalog/NANOCOM_Diagnostic_Tools.html) well before the current surge of interest sparked the group buy. Very professional and I had it in my hands in 6 days (this in the middle of a UK postal workers strike and over a weekend).
They definitely know how to package stuff to keep it dry and protected:eek:, two individual heavy duty plastic layers (hot glue sealed not taped), then a box, then bubble wrapped inside....twas like a game of pass the parcel getting to the tiny little nanocom and disk inside......still, if one is delivering in UK conditions of rain, mud, snow etc :o

Hi Angus,
I purchased one in Australia about 4 weeks ago from Karcraft, they are Bearmach's agent in Aus.
Their contact details are as follows:
KARCRAFT AUSTRALIA
T ++ 61 29 73 79 944
F ++ 61 29 73 79 011
E sales@karcraft.com.au
I think I paid about $160 with postage.

Is it original or clone?
It costs 200 uk money according to Bearmach (http://www.bearmach.com/Cust_pag/nanocom/index.html)

$160 with postage :eek:
Please tell me that's a typo - what with currency conversions and freight I paid the equivalent of $600 to get mine ex UK back before anyone was importing them.
That or you got a REALLY good deal that everyone else should chase up quick.

Google Nanocom for more info.
Yes can use all the time to see all the info the computer deals with,either on its own display or thru a laptop.
All the fault codes can be read and deleted.

Fwiw, Jaycar do an "OBD 11 LCD Scan Tool P/N QP-2294 A$129 or A$102 per 6.:D." Page 27 of the 2008 Catalogue.
Maybe some of you have used it already?

From what I've read the jaycar units won't work with LR's. I believe rover use a proprietry protocol and won't work with anything not designed specifically for land-rovers.

Fraser

I purchased the Jaycar unit a while back and confirm it definitely will not work on a Td5 engine - it tries to connect and returns with some type of error message regarding the protocol
