Hi guys,
Have looked at the various threads on the sender unit, but it doesnt answer my question...

Is the pipe that brings the fuel from the tank to the donk rubber or steel, and is it adjustable. Have just changed disco's and I ran out of diesel the other day ;)and when I filled it up,it only took 73.63 ltrs(Thats filling it up to within inches of the top of the filler section)..:)

In the manual,it says it hold 81.8 ltrs.I rang graham cooper and the guy said that they hold 88 ltrs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

The fuel supply and fuel return lines are made of hard black plastic, a variant of PVC I believe. standard brass olives and compression fittings work fine on this material.

The pick up for the disco originates from the top of the tank, I have "run out" in my old disco when cornering on a low tank, fuel moves up out of the tank depression and a glut of air is picked up which will funnily enough stall the engine. Once vehicle stopped it may have been able to restart after the remaining fuel dropped back into the tank depression.

Other options are an under calibrated bowser - unlikely
or is the tank base been pressed in losing capacity
or is there some clods in the tank which when the level is low block the pick up????
