I'm after an ally roof rack for my fender. Can someone point out a good one? There was a mob in WA who built one but not sure of their details.
Any info appreciated, Awest.

I have an aluminium one that came from TJM. Don't know how much it cost as the dealer had it fitted when I bought the car. It is quite a nice size but hammers the fuel consumption even when empty and adds greatly to the noise. With todays prices it stays of the car unless needed.

The RackMaster from OL is good - no wind noise - fuel consumption difference minimal and mine weighs 22kg (2.0m long). It also has "captive nut" rails to bolt down things like spare wheels, tie down eyelets, jerry cans etc.

You're probably thinking of Jaram. They are in Welshpool WA. I have a Jaram Overlander which has been going strong for close to 10 years on two vehicles.
And their customer service is excellent (I bought some more bits off them recently and they were extremely helpful).

The rack I have is a Rhino one which comes in a variety of sizes, and fits onto standard Rhino bars. Available at a lot of auto outlets.

I have a Jaram on my Disco colour coded to suit the vehicle and bull bar. I was lucky to get mine second hand from a guy who used to work there. Mine was on a Troopy cruiser and I kept the brackets to suit. I got new disco brackets supplied so it will fit two vehicles.
They are very strong I get up there to load stuff and I weigh 120kg. Mine also came with a removeable twin jerry can holder saved me getting a long range tank. I am very happy with mine only thing I noticed is my fuel consumption went up from 9 to 10 litres per 100ks with bull bar and rack fitted.
