My wife parked her disco in a shopping mall in Hornsby today only to find somebody had stolen both side mirrors.:twisted::twisted::mad::mad: . I would like to know how on earth can some body just go unoticed doing this. in a busy car park.

In know it must have been someone who knows discos cause you need to know where to pry the mirror glass without breaking it and then remove the heater cables.

When she went to the center management to complain they said are you sure you had them when you came in!!! They said you park at your own risk. The funny thing though ( Well not funny) she came straight from the servo after getting the pink slip and then to the RTA for rego. so the mirrors were defanatly there.

Then on they way home listining to the radio the news reader said that thieft in major carparks was on the rise. ill say.

And car park exclusion clauses are pretty effective/robust... :(

I had the very same thing happen to my Classic RR in broad daylight on a very busy road. Gone for 1/2 an hour. Came back. Both mirrors gone.

Must be a market for them....

It's a sad reflection on society.

Those thieves should take a good look at themselves.

Don't look back in anger.

So you wouldn't park there in hindsight?

Reminds me of a report from my brother in the US - he knew someone who had the front seats stolen from his twelve month old Saab - his insurance company wrote off the car, as replacement seats would cost more than the value of the car. Again, what is the cost of the mirrors?
