Hi guys,

I have been instructed by SWMBO to build a cubby/play house for my little girl as well as some plant boxes for the back verandah.

Anyone know a good place around Sydney to get timber off-cuts or recycled timber? A place where I could get some corro off-cut would be great too...

Cheers

Reverse Garbage in Marrickville is a good place to start for stuff.

Reverse Garbage (http://www.reversegarbage.org.au/)

Other than that, drive around any areas where houses are being built and see what is in the skip/rubbish pile.

Best to go at times when the tradies are on site so you can ask if it is OK though - usually they are happy for you to take stuff away.

I am building a shed at the moment, we got from building site rubbish:
Enough timber for the boxing/formwork
1/2 of the reo for the footings
6 bags of cement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
