I don't like some of the new emoticons FIXED!!

They are the ones used on a lot of the ****** forums.... :(

The old emoticons were much friendlier.

Yep, can't stand them either. Another forum I'm subscribed to also has them and I think this is a reason that on that forum, they aren't used much.

What I dislike is the lack of consistency, where they were all variations on the same basic smiley.
Like how :lock::angrylock::nazilock: works; but :o:eek::eek2: doesn't.

Also, the colours on some of the buttons have changed, eg. reply and quote, but not the thanks one.

As Pedro said so punningly, it is an emotive issue. When one uses them, it is to, preferably, do so with some friendliness and to not really pee off the recipient. We have no other easy way of texting feelings and good emoticons can be helpful - you can't see my smile in a text message, you can't hear the laughter in my voice.

Even the mad symbol (now :mad:) was a good 'un, especially if used with the original :D
