Was with a D3 in Toolangi State Forest today.
Drove up Rocky Track like you would not believe.
Absolutely awesome.
The D3 was standard except for mud terrains & made it look easy.
For those of you that don't know Rocky Track is an extremely difficult track that is hard to get down let alone up.
I am sure there will be pictures posted.

I believe it, I have had Discos now for 14 years and at a recent Dealer Drive day in the Blue Mountains for new D3 owners, I was blown away by this model's capabilities. Also had some fun on a disused footy field, really a dirt pan, with the the DSC disengaged. Scary but I can assure you it works.

Traction Control is a Great thing.....
Rocky has its days where its harder than other days...
If its wet, its damn hard... if its had stacks of traffic, then the rocks get moved into the holes and the legdes get wider... so its easier....
Either way.. Well done...

Amazing in rock crawl mode, easy to control. kept up with lifted Patrol at Menai, in new vehicle, so I was being cautious.
They were quite surprised at its ability, especially with OEM tyres.:D

Caver, completely agree (of course) with your comments re the D3's capability, even in stock form. But I've developed a theory, through first hand experience, that the capability of the car masks the shortcomings of the tyres off road. The stock wranglers are terrible in mud and easily holed:BigCry: in the sidewall.
Cheers.

Agree, Wranglers didn't even last 30000ks. I wanted ATs but none were available at the time so got Cooper HTs and guess what; no punctures.

There are quite a few MTs that fit the D3 now (if you have the 17" rims). There's one or two aggressive ATs available for the 18" rims - Kumho and BFG, maybe others.
Cheers,
Gordon

Hi Chuck,
Shame didnt get to catch up on the w/end..
John's rear "e-diff" would of helped lots too, but still impressive to watch the D3 in action.
