Please note I was hesitant on asking but I feel the urge to know what a barra pig is
I know someone here will know this and I have looked everywhere for info without any luck.
It seems to be a castrated pig in the bush? How is it done etc? I know this is casting judgement but it does not sound very ethical.

Are you sure its a "bara" pig, as a 'Barrow' is a castrated boar. Therefore a Barrow pig is a bit like a cut cat!!

Thanks NM. Definately Barra pig but then the people who I heard it from may not know themselves. Tried google and 2 other engines. Had no luck with info on Barra pig.
Thanks Glen. I'm now going to do more searching.

You must be speaking about a Barrow Pig as a Barra Pig is a fishing lure :D. Have 8 or so myself.

Okay, your all right it is definitely "Barrow". I read it on a bit of a red-neck site so I'm assuming some people abbreviated it. Sorta like saying "sorta" instead of "sort of" I think passes as a good example.
I'm not so much thinking it is unethical now I understand it. Funny how knowledge does that some times, haha. Never the less the situation I heard I think still is as was done in the bush and the piggy is being held by humans and dogs then I feel it is rather naughty.

Well I have learnt something new. But I must tell you that where I come from the youngest and weakest of the litter is called "the sprog".:)
