How would I wash a queensize mattress?

I have a spa that may fit half in and I could add soap and rotate it after half hour, though Im not sure on the effects on water chemistry of the pool.

I could buy some bio-degradable soap powder. Is there a "normal" way of doing this? I dont want to end up on Google Earth standing over a bopping mattress.

Clean32, yep you must be the master of this thread ......

Anyway, not sure the best way of doing it mate, but depending on the design of your mattress I would be more woried about drying it ... does it have metal bits in it, does it have some sort of fluffy inner. If so then it might get a little mouldy if you immerse the whole thing in something like a spa bath .... like the dude suggested earlier, if you can get away with it maybe carpet cleaner is the go

Just not sure if saturating the thing is the best way to go .... unless you have the ability to dry it properly .....

Hucksta

P.S. .... Mrs HUCKSTA agree with me (first time for a while)

well yes, over a decade in the business, and all over the world.

use a extraction carped machine, with a wand, not a brush type from cole's

Mattresses should be cleaned often, the amount of crap and critters that will work there way though sheets or any other coverings is amazing.

UV kills many critters, hotels for example are required to sanitize there mattresses regularly ( many don’t bother) either with UV or Ozone, Ozone being the best, but has some osh problems.

What ever you do don’t stick it in the spar, springs will go rusty, and if its just foam, the centre will never dry.

Is that She Who Must Do Dinner & Dishes?

I'd vote for the britax (or better still the rug doctor one from Wollies)

Just rinse it in fire, works every time.

For dust mites after using the vacuum you can also mist it with some eucalyptus. So either the aerosol can or make up some with tepid water and a few milliliters ofeucalyptus oil in a spray bottle.
