Now Fluffy has gone to a new home..a friend has let me borrow their 25 year old Toyota Corolla until we leave for UK..

No central locking..manual gears..etc etc...

My youngest got in and asked how to put the window down..I told him to use the winder....he then said ....winder ???

He's 10 years old and never been in a car without electric windows and has not used a window winder before :p...

Kids today eh !..don't know their born :D

My dad had an old Armstrong Siddelley with window winders..but no glass in the windows !..very nice in the rain :eek:

But worst of all...the Corolla has No Cupholders !!..how am I going to keep the coffee from spilling and having to change gear as well ???..:angel:

My eldest boy is embarrassed and told me not to pick him up from school anymore !..the shame of being picked up in an old wreck !!

When I was 10 our family troddled around in an Austin A30. Yes, that is 2 adults and 4 kids...oh and no seat belts.

The windows on the A30 had no windup mechanism, just a little block of glass glued to the top of the window. You grabbed hold of this and pushed the window up and down by hand. Tell that one to the kids of today. :(
