Yeah, I just heard that on 702. I'm surprised they only said L.R. and not give more details.

Yeah but if it was a RRS, pimped to the eyeballs then you could understand why.

Why, do they deserve it more than a Defender, Rangie or Discovery owner?

The owner should have quickly knocked the transfer case into Neutral.

Vehicle stolen during armed robbery – North Parramatta

Saturday, 26 Apr 2008 05:19am

A vehicle was stolen during an armed robbery at North Parramatta overnight.

About 11pm a 19-year-old Chiswick man parked his white 2001 Land Rover in Harold Street and waited in the car for a friend.

The driver was waiting with the window down when a man approached, produced a knife and threatened the driver.

The 19-year-old exited the vehicle and the man entered the driver’s seat.

A second man entered the front passenger seat and the pair sped away towards Church Street.

The man who produced the knife is described as tall, large build, aged 25-30, dark olive skin, short dark hair, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.

Police are searching for the white 2001 Land Rover with NSW registration plates AKR-65G.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is urged not to approach it but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Anyone with information that can assist investigators is urged to contact Parramatta Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

So we know it wasn't a Defender :D:D

used to live in North parammata a few years ago , off thomas st , the petrol station accross the road was Held up by armed robbers 3 times whilst I live there , and no it wasn't me with the balaclava, heheh
infact once going home one night west bound on Victoria rd I cought a Glimpse of the Police Patty Van driving straight over the medium strip right accross the other side of the road into the petrol station , 2 coppers jumped out , ran inside the station , the station bloke was pointing out with his finger toward the direction that the robbers fled , the ( coppers ) immiditely ran outside and turned around and started putting the chase on into the darkness,I reckon they were just chasing a ghost, the armed robbers well and truely gone by then...

My wife thinks it could be a white Disco II. The number plate was very similar to ours and the vehicle was almost identical.
.
Hope they find the low lifes. Or Karma !!!!!!

"aged 25-30, dark olive skin"

H'm, fits the description of all the TV coverage on "Hoons" in that area. What is wrong with those people??

What is wrong with those people??

Poor upbringing.
Lack of mentoring by their parents.
Lack of education.
No enough to do.
No job.
No interests.
Peer pressure.
Marginalisation due to race, which can have done to them or something they just imagine, same outcome though.
Feelings of being an outsider due to the above.
Inadequate policing and enforcing of the law.

where do I stop.......
