Anybody been playing the new Off Road PC game ??

Got it today to try and ease my depression from being roverless :(

Not too bad too play..closest I'll get to driving an RRS :p

Get to race against other Landies , Ford trucks and wagons..

Picked it up at EB Games in the local Westfield..

$49.95 :eek:

Keep crashing and damaging my Landie..have to try and win races to earn money for repairs...not very good at it so far..my boys already have 6 vehicles each in their garages and wiping the floor with me everytime :mad:

I'll get a few hours practise in when they go to bed :twisted:

This is a real off-road, customizable trucks (tyres, winches, bullbars, rollcages, etc.). I prefer to drive Santana (a-ka Defender 110) of course :)

Manual or auto, 2WD, 4WD, hi-low, difflocks, tyre pressure change, GPS, maps, mud, swamps, watercrossing, sand, rocks, fuel stations, spare jerry cans with fuel, spare parts (so you can fix your trucks in the middle of nowhere). Tyres go flat, damage to different parts of the car, fuel ends, engine overheats. Suspension upgrade gives better ride in different conditions. More you drive, more skills you get. Some quest you have to do and earn money. You can drive in any direction if your truck is capable. If you rolled your car or bogged some options like get winched out or evacuated back to garage.

Screamer 4x4 us still the best 4x4 game that i've played, just a pity you can't modify the exterior of the trucks. The physics are spot on though.

That looks pretty good...will look out for that one..my boys are really making me look useless with this game...they have earnt loads of money and unlocked extra cars...me...i'm still stuck in the Ranger ute making just enough money to pay for the repairs after each race !

I'm going to ban them from playing ..so I can get some serious practise in without being mocked by the little angels :o
