Since getting her home, I've had a chance to go over the car a bit more. And have a couple of Questions.

1. Coolant Colour - The coolant was changed in november after a new radiator, however it is white in colour, not milky (oil/water) colour, but white, Is it true that there is a coolant in this colour, what are its properties? Test strip says its not anti freeze or corrosion inhibitor.

2. The car has a bit of a wander and feels a bit vague sometimes - Is this normal RR behaviour?

3. Has a bit of a rough idle when cold, could this be an injector leaking? seems to come and go, or are the 4.6's like this?

I'm prepared to spend a bit of money ie steering bushes etc. on the car as it is quite old.

Any help appreciated as i'm new to RR's but not Disco's

What have you done, anything less than a 2000 P38 is a step backwards from a D1 !

I know, what have I done! :D

I/we looked and looked and considered pros and cons. Probably wouldn't have brought an early model if discopom's hadn't come up. A D2 would probably have been on the cards if it wasn't for the height. In the end as I said in general, its a car i've always wanted, and its damn sexy!!!

Now for my original technical questions!

Bars Leaks?

Some people suggest it's the tyres. They don't rear end steer like a RR classic or D1. Check for wear in the tie rod asnd drag link ends. The boots split and let in grit.

Hmm, not sure. Mine vibrates a bit at idle on LPG and petrol. It really annoys me.

If you are checking for a misfire, do NOT disconnect a spark plug lead. That can damage the engine management computer owing to the high back EMF. Disconnect the injector.
