Hi Brett. Nice looking unit that Uniden.

The only thing I can think of to help as I don't own one myself is with some units you need to go up to 10kmph over the limit before it tells you your speeding.

What test have you tried?

OR is it one where you put in the speed that you want it to notify you when your over that?

Hi,
I have a uniden gns 8400.

I'll discribe what I do with mine....maybe yours will be similar.
when you in the navigation mode and touch the screen, a 'menu' button appears at the bottom left. press the menu button and then a selection comes up-Route settings, My POI editor, Safety warning, Map settings, Simulation.

Hit the Safety warning option. This will take you to the safety warning page, where you can change the speed camera, black spot and red light camera warnings on or off. at the top right you should see Speed Warning - hit this and then you can select to activate the warning and set the speed zones.

Hope that helps.

Oh, btw Brett. It not until I got my tom tom that I worked out that the speedo in all my vehicles were wrong. Some by up to 8kmph. I.e registered 100 when doing 92.

Therfore to make my tom tom say i'm speeding and remembering that I need to be 5kmph over the limit before it tells me it means i have to be doing 13kmph over the limit according to my speedo before it actually lets me know.
