Cmon guys..
Inc's gone to all the effort of putting in the ablilty of creating a link to individual posts so that you can link directly to them....
I dont know what settings your using but I keep seeing references to things like page 12 of thus and so when Im only showing 5....
wouldyallmind referencing the post number or better yet linking directly to the relevent posts in a thread so I dont have to read eleventy hundered posts to try and find the bit your refering to...
Imagine if you will saying "Oh I saw a comment on that in the I see stars thread.... go read that."

Page 12 wasn't worth the bother Dave.

see the word permalink thats following a #x on the right hand side of everypost?
in firefox right click that number after the # and select copy link location and then paste that into a post. (this is post #6)
If you click on this link
http://www.aulro.com/afvb/738510-post1.html
If I got it right it should open up the first post in this thread.

Ha Ha!
The little blue arrow in Pedro's* quote above is also a permalink to his post.
Oh if only we'd read the FAQs, or used the search button.
:D:D:D

Each post has a unique number, this number is added to the end of the thread http address at the top of the page, or the link. The hyperlink brings the post to the top of the page.

In IE you can hover over the number (Top right next to the Permalink label) Dave is talking about, and then right-click and select "copy shortcut", then use CTL-V or right-click/paste to put the link into a new post.
For example, your post above is linked like so:

Sorry Dave, that was probably my fault. I was referring to the post "Rude Poms" & thought it may have been quicker to start a new threat referring to a particular page for ease & speed.
Typical female, I was just thinking of myself, as I just don't get the time to troll through endless pages.
