Hello all,
been to the markets this morning,( as you do) and my young boy noticed when we were exiting the Disco 2, that parts of the felt like fabric on the roof inside, was coming away from and was loose in spot.
Particularly near the Sun Roof indentations, and around the Rear head rest ( seven seater).

Ive heard of a spray type adhesive that will resolve the problem, but unsure of what ill affects it may have.Any Clues?

Also, I have jsut recently become unemployed and as the Disco needs servicing, thought I might do it myself.Never done it before.
I bought a filter Kit for the TD5 off ebay, great price $75.00 inc freight, and have purchased the obligatory quality oil.

I can service a series 111, but when it comes to the TD5 ,I m a bit tentative, always left it the LR Dealers.
Also the back 60%back rest part of the rear seat wont lock into place. The seat locks in but the lever which usually locks in, is just up off the moulding where it fits in and if you hit the anchors hard, the back rest will fall fwd.Not real god with my boys in the back.
Ive taken off the back panel, but cant see any resolution there, have sprayed WD up in side the locking mecha, but nothing helps.Once again, any Clues?

I need to get rid of 1 x S11 swb ute.Good engine/Electrics and chassis OK just, rest is too far gone. yours for nothing if you wont to collect from Kingaroy Qld.
Thanks Dave Kemp

The spray adhesive won't do much. The foam backing has deteriated and the whole has to be replaced. Mine's the same, just like my D1 did. My understanding is that getting the lining in and out is the nasty part of the job on the D2 (especially if you have sunroofs - I don't:) ) anyway, can't get it done in town, so I'm looking at getting it done when I'm on holidays later in the year. If you want I can keep you posted on how I go.

I don't know about the D2, but on my D1, when I had a similar problem with the rear seat, I fixed it by loosening off the seat mounts and adjusting the position of the seat. It only needs to move a small amount.

Best Wishes,
