XR6 Turbo H.P

For you XR6 Turbo pilots(there are 1 or 3 on here) whats the highest HP you have heard from one of these machines.
How does 660kw at the rear treads sound????(has dyno sheets to proove)
The guy doing grader training for me has a F6 Typhoon thats had extensive underhood modifications.
He got the most powerful ford at the Dyno shootout at the Clipsal 500,460kw at the treads with a blown headgasket.
Is undergoing more engine treatment over east at the moment.He is hoping its ready in time for a big Dyno shootout comp in Melbourne in a couple of weeks.His goal is 750kw at the tyres.If its ready intime watchout for an article in Wheels Mag,they have already told him the 660kw is impossible,and if he competes they are to be there to see it.
Apparentley when he floors it in 3rd on the dyno it smokes the bags!!!
It runs a 9 sec 1/4 mile and cant get traction!!!

The engine was built by Simon Guishus from Nizpro. It used to reside in a blueplrint xr6t sedan owned by Brian Lord. The car was written off in a crash and the engine is now in Brians BF F6 typhoon. Simons purple ute also has a similar build of motor in it but i believe simons ute is the 1200hp version.

How can they get accurate HP figures if its spinning on the rollers??

Gota take these figures with a pinch of salt. Every dyno gives different readings, even the humidity on the day affects the results.

Anyway, has this thing been on an engine dyno? Is there a dyno big enough??

These dyno shootout competitions produce big numbers because they are run to a standardised set of conditions and atmospheric correction factors.

So an engine can be tuned to make all of it's power at a particular point, torque spread and drivability don't matter.

Having said that, any road car that can produce more than 500kW at the wheels is a monster of one type or another.
