Anyone know what the size and thread of the captive nuts in the rear floor of a Disco1 are?
I know they are bigger then the 3/8 I tried. I assume they are imperial like the 5/16 UNC baby harness bolts.
I thought it was in the owners manual but I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks.

I agree with Tombie, M10 sounds about right from memory.

m10x1.0mm or 1.25mm thread pitch.. but its been 5 years since I pulled them out last... I do recall that its not the standard 10x1.5mm

This sounds right, pretty sure there not the standard ones !

Just tried an M10 bolt and you can push it through. Touches the sides though so it is close.
My Dad is a mechanical engineer. If he was here he'd look at it and say 'yep that's a blah blah blah'. Unfortunately that is one skill I never picked up.

swing it past and I'll have an eyeball Ive got a set of thread gauges and a vernier that will let me work it out.

I think when i went down too a bolt place they tired them all, i think in the end it might of been UNF ?

Thanks Dave but I should be able to nut it out :D

Thanks Matt. It's being particularly evasive.
With my last set of drawers I just put a smaller bolt through the hole and used a nut. Might end up doing the same this time.

I hope you dont, youd have to weld a stud to the floor to use a nut, and that might be dangerous.
