Hi there,
I have a td5 2002 Land rover discovery (MY2003). For some reason the window wipers only work after the car has warmed up – has this got anything to do with the battery??

My digital clock also has a number missing – is this a battery problem?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers
Dave

Apparently it has something to do with the switch on the stalk and can be fixed by just cleaning it, i haven't got around to doing mine as yet.

As for the LED clock, on it's way out i'd say.

Yep, my wiper stalk is the same, believe it can be pulled apart and cleaned.

Yep, the internal electrical contacts in the stalk apparently wear slightly/become dirty and depending on the state they're in, can either be taken apart and cleaned or replaced entirely. Not sure on how they come apart, have not looked into it yet as my problem is not too bad. When first switching the wipers on, try either rotating the selector through all of the modes first or pulling the lever down to get the wipers working sooner.

Can anyone please recommend the best place to buy landrover parts?
e.g.tail light cover, digital clock etc (preferably second hand). BTW: I live in Perth

I went to landrover direct to get a new drink tray and they said it would cost $350

cheers

Well I ended up with a new wiper stalk cos it was really p****ing me off! As to where to buy...well there will be lots of opinions, as I live way up in the far northern subs I go to Disco Auto in Wangara cos I don't have the time to traipsing round everywhere else in the metro area, but depends on where you are in Perth...

But anyway...did you ask them if the new drink try will accommodate the now ubiquitous water bottle? Cos I would pay $350 for one that does, lol!!! Have even thought of trying to grind mine out with a dremel to fit 'em in!
Cheers

Don't know about WA, but I mail order a lot from Land Rover parts - Home (http://www.roverparts.com.au) in Vic. Also you can order through British Four Wheel Drive - Land Rover Parts, Range Rover Parts, Discovery Parts, Freelander Parts, Defender Parts, Accessories & Spares Specialist (http://www.british4wd.com) (they can be cheaper on their eBay store).
