That would be me. Picked the kids up from school, went to the bank and then to market(wouldn't call it super) and got a great park right at the front door. Admiring the 130 in the reflection in the window, every-one jumps out and LOCK THE FN KEYS IN THE CAR. No phone, spare keys are in the cubby box due to fitting new stuff and havn't got around to putting them where they belong. Only option was to break the lock off the tool box and jimmy the sliding window. Not that any-one around blinked an eyelid.
Bloody turbo timers. Have done this a few times but have had the spares to get me out of trouble. One time I came back from grocery shopping and found the old girl still running. OOPS.
Is this just me or do others except for the blp blp central locking brigade have this recurring problem?

I think what makes it worse is you can see the keys through the window. And you're only a foot away from getting them out of the cage they are in :D . Been there and done that a few times ... won't be the last i'm guessing either ;):D.

or he's married to a little person. I'm not going any further than that.
My kids were fighting over who gets to climb through. Then the other one wanted to climb in the window anyway.

Mt wellington has the same signal jamming as the chemists. Techno revenge:twisted:

Not a problem I have - neither my County nor my 2a can be locked without the key. In fact I have only rarely ever owned a car that can be - and the ones I have, i have several times locked the keys in!

Don't fret, it happens to the most of us :D

Earlier caravans were bad for that, walk out the door with the inside lock on and your out!!
Hard climbing through small window openings.
I've seen many, "rent a small boy" for a few bucks to crawl in and open the door :)

Admiring your Landie reflected in a big window would be really sad if I didn't do it too! :p

When I was still in Darwin I had a mate come up from Adelaide for as visit. Took him and a couple of friends out to Litchfield and one of the girls went back to the car to get a drink, you guessed it locked the keys in.

So we are standing at the car and we were the only ones there (build up was great for keeping tourists away back then). So there was nothing else for it.... Off with the antenna and open the lock!

Ever since I have always locked the drivers door on any car with the key so I know it is in my hand.

LOL.

I locked my keys in the single cab at a gun shop once.
The sliding window was / is buggered on that side so could get it open a bit, BUT the headboard on the tray didn't allow a big enough gap to reach in easily.
So I went into the gun shop requesting something which they probably don;t get too many requests for... a coat hanger.
Having obtained one, I jumped up on the tray of the ute and used teh stretched out coat hanger to (eventually) hook the keys out of the ignition and back to me.
I was hoping (and worried) that I wouldn't drop the keys on the floor in the process !

And yes, nobody watching batted an eyelid, not even the "security" gaurd from the car park ! Confidence inspiring stuff !

In order to calm down and feel happy again, i bought another rifle.

My missus didn't quite understand.... women, eh !?

No mate, they are old enough to have opened it for me. Better than my mate did one time. We were camping at Elanda point and went up Rainbow for a swim. He tied his keys onto his board shorts and you guessed it, lost em. His parents had to drive up from brissie the next day with the spare set. So I bought him a key float:twisted:
Still makes me laugh

And had they been too small and the car was warming up I doubt there is a responible parent here that wouldn't hesitate about breaking a window if necessary to get them out. I think this post is more about when you have locked keys in the car and safety isn't an issue..... JUST getting the damned things back with minimal damage... to both the car and pride!

Did you hear about the band who locked the keys in the van? Took them hours to get the bass player out!!
Or the blonde who called the RAA to get her keys out of the car and "hurry please because it looks like rain and the hood's down"
