I have a Packard Bell iConnect 733C,
Gigabyte MB,, GA 6WWM7
Intell chip 810?

its a bit old,, :D

buts its for an 8 year old---:D

The problem is----
there is NO AGP slot,

(and I had this nice Ti200 to slot in,,)

were there downloads for on-board graphics
back then?

Only if there's a video connector on the back of the PC.

Otherwise it sounds like you need an old PCI vid card. If you get desperate, I could probably find one laying about the place and post it up to you, although I just threw out a heap of old gear about 4 weeks ago.:(

i still sell new pci video cards for people that insist on buying dells and the like that only have crap onboard chipsets that even basic games dont support...

sell a few each month as a general rule..

a search of the intel site for 810-815 intergrated drivers will get you what you want for the onboard chipset.

thanks Inc,,
done that.

It takes up to 20 minutes for ME to start up,,

??
anyway to speed this up?

once ME opens it runs OK,,
with the new drivers it runs 256 colours and
more than 800x600,,
so I'm happy with that,,
though an old PCI vid card would be nice;)

The old cards were 4MB at the best of times too, so you may not get any real benefit, unless your on board is knackered.:(

Doctor Pedro strikes again!!

it appears if you replace the cd-rom drive with one that works,,
it boots up in no time at all!!!
