Can anyone please recommend the best place to buy landrover parts?
e.g.tail light cover, digital clock etc (preferably second hand). BTW: I live in Perth

I went to landrover direct to get a new drink tray and they said it would cost $350

cheers

I second above. Not far fromght a few bits off them when we lived in Whyalla, I can highly recommend the quality of the parts they send. They have a great setup for mail order and do lots of it.

G'day Mate,

I can tell you straight away man that Landrover will charge you like a wounded bull just about everytime, sometimes their prices are beyond belief. Can't help you in the Perth area mate, but it pays to shop around for parts and I get some of my stuff through a place called British Car Components in Melbourne. They sometimes have second hand spares or change over stuff, should be something similar in perth (maybe ????) Google them if you want to ..... type in Britcar.

Previous replies sound good too, maybe try interstate stuff as the freight is usually ok ..... sometimes works out lots cheaper.

All i can say is shop around man, also, if you are a little inventive, bits from other vehicle sometimes fit .... hope this helps a little .....

What's a tail light cover?I assume 'discoMY2003' is new to Land Rovers & is assuming the tail light lens is available separately.

Little does he know that LR parts are only available as an assembly so he'll have to buy the rear half of a Discovery to get the bit he wants ;).

I doubt many cars have replacement tail light lenses these days.

dont forget karcraft too... its where i think i have bought all my bits from so far.. Karcraft Australia (http://www.karcraft.com.au/home.php) website seems useless so call them..

dont write the dealers off for everything tho... theres a couple of posts about them being cheaper somtimes..

the drinks holder is an interesting one too.. check ebay out for those also..

is there anybody that has a working drinks holder? :D

Thanks

Steve

My Defender does:D:D:DI think you'd better double check that ;).

Your Defender tail light lens is part of the light housing. The 2 screws hold the whole assembly to the body.

I did have... until a big bump and coke went everywhere (no not off road in Adelaide... anyone who has seen our ropads will understand why we like driving off road... it's smoother!)

the coke got sticky and it didn't slide properly so took it out and cleaned it up and it worked well.... just can't get it back in properly. Looking at the manual I have to remove both sides (coin tray and ash tray etc)

So if anyone else is thinking of pulling it out.. make sure you follow the instructions for getting it back in!

speaking of the drink holder... what a stupid size it is. only good for cans. is there a repalcement that can actually hold a regular sized drink?

He could mean the protective cover.

Try Rovacraft in bayswater 9377 0080 and ask for Ian.
I get nearly everything off them and they're good at sending stuff by courier as well.

I'm an ice coffee drinker and the only vehicle set up for this I have seen so far is the Daihatsu Feroza, has a perfect square holder to sit the carton in!
