and got paid for it:cool:

i tip from my local supplier was to make sure i knock the seal in so that the outer lip is flush with the outer edge of the hub....problem is when i slid the hub on the outer edge of the seal came in contact with shoulder on the stub, not good i thought

so i pulled the hub off and knocked the seal in 1-2mm extra and all was good

i used the double lipped seal that they recommend when maxi's axles are fitted

hope i did the right thing:angel:

A week ago I replaced a leaking inner double-lipped hub seal which I had fitted 12 months ago when I converted the Disco to oiled rear bearings.

I can't remember if leaking seal was flush or not but I knocked the new one all the way in until it was fully home in the hub.
