50,000:1 topo maps sets are available from SA Govt already calibrated for Ozi.
Set of 6 CDs
Not cheap though ( $1081 for the set ).
If anyone has them so we can try :D them out, please let us know.

I make a lot of my own maps now using gMapMaker (google it)

It allows you to combine google street maps detail with satellite imagery and create ozi compatible maps. all for free

Sure, doesn't match topo maps, but for the price ...

Couldn't link to gpsaustralia.com but found out it is .:GPS Australia:. (http://www.gpsaustralia.net/) or .net instead of .com

I'm keen to get a copy as well, including NT's maps if available. I'm hoping to do a simpson crossing mid august & head off the plenty hwy to meet ross river hwy on the way over.

I thought they were downloadable for free from the Govt site. I downloaded some stuff from there.

And 1:250,000 is probably as detailed as you'd need for 4WD touring of SA.
