I was thinking of upgrading the standard 65 amp alternator to a 100 amp unit.
I have heard of a number of options and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on these.
I was told that a Ford Transit 100 amp unit will bolt on as will a Magnetti.
Any information would be much appreciated

I have a 300 Tdi which i fitted a 100 amp ford transit van alternator:D , im not sure if the 200 Tdi is the same fit
The only mod with the transit alt is to change the pulley from your old alt to the new alt:D

I am pretty sure that the 200 is a different set up to the 300 Tdi so I don't think it would fit

Getting close to the big desert trek and need to upgrade my alternator so anyone out there who could spare a minute of two to provide some info on my alternator options for the 200 Tdi would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
