Any one else about to enter into mid year exams?
I only have one this semester coz I cut back subjects to balance the work life thing.
But, it still means catching up on assignments and late, late nights studying.
I also work full time so the last few weeks and next few to come have been full on. Grumpy with family, tired, disorganised and who goes to bed before midnight?
Still, that Batchelor of Arts degree will be worth it! :p:p:p
Just kidding, actually studying toward Masters in Maintenance and Reliability through Monash.
Over half way now, will complete Grad Dip this year and begin final four subjects next year:D:D:D
Won't know what to do once I am finished.:(
Am a mature age student so was accepted into the masters program without a Batchelors degree. This meant a few bridging subjects and a lot of catch up in maths etc.
Been studying this course since 2006, with 2005 full of bridging:mad:.
Talk about taking the long way :D:D:D. How to make a 3 year masters take 6!
That'll teach me not to go to uni when I had the chance as a schoolie!
Anyway,
Back to the books....

Yep 3 this semester.
Not worried about the eng subjects this time round, worried about Law stuff.
3 weeks to go so have time.

Ahh, research MA, no exams, pass/fail.
Only problem is the seven month wait for the examiner's reports.
And the month and counting waiting for arbitration on the marks - strike that - reports.
Oh, and not graduating until almost two years after I submit.
Cheers

3 for me as well. 2 of them aren't a problem as the subjects should be passed so are really just bonus marks. The 3rd one though is of course the hardest (Geomechanics) and has me worried as I have to pass it to pass the subject.

Perhaps if I'd have done that, I wouldn't have ended up at a uni that I hate, studying a course that I hate, alongside people that I hate, failing every piece of assessment as it comes one by one, hating myself for being so full of hate and hating the fact that I hate it so much and hate wasting the time turning up everyday...
What I hate the most are the people who say you need to enjoy whatever it is you do, because they were right.

nothing worst than being 'mature age' and balancing both. Brings back memories, at least memory retention is better( from what I can remember)
At least your semester load is light.
good luck

I left after year ten also, and now I'm at Uni anyway!
Experience got me a graduate job with no degree, but they're still fixated on that bit of paper!

Ditto. Did grade 11 but only 'cause I couldn't get an apprenticeship at the end of grade 10. Hated school, was a lazy bugger and would not apply myself.
Then at the age of 40 got made redundant from a six figure senior management role and when I went to write my resume, realised that "Sparkie" just didn't do it anymore.
4 and 1 third years later got my MBA done last year. Failed stats and pride made me do the subject again.
I couldn't say I enjoyed the study but am proud of having done it. It did annoy me though that I had to give up my weekends, golf, lazing around, etc to get it done.
The upside was I promised myself a 4WD if I finished, hence the D3.
My advice for those still at at? Set short term goals:
"I will study for one more hour"
"I will read to the end of this chapter"
"I will just write 1500 words of gibberish, then watch the footy and make sense of it tomorrow"
etc, etc.
