does anyone here use photoshop cs3

I have been eyeing it up for a while now on ebay but at the price I'm not sure

Is it good to use etc?? I love playing on photoshop but I'm by no means an expert. Does it have more to offer than the older versions.....

I also have dreamweaver cs3 which I have not learnt to use yet.. (Brought it for a business venture that went sour) and the cs3 programs are all supposed to compliment each other being able to easily intergrate stuff...

So anyone use it your thoughts would be great!!!

Had CS3 for some time now. Photoshop is good. Seems pretty stable.

I don't use much in the way of filters and stuff for 'effects' so I can't comment on that. It offers good support for the work I do and integrates well with the other Adobe products, so nothing to grumble about with it.

Surprised that you would have bought Dreamweaver on its own. See if Adobe will give you an upgrade price to the Creative Suite (https://store3.adobe.com/cfusion/store/index.cfm'store=OLS-AU&view=ols_prod&category=/Applications/DesignPremium&distributionMethod=FULL&nr=0&promoid=DAFXZ) or something that includes all the useful stuff. Much cheaper way to get the software.

you can get full version on ebay for 350 and under ;)

Besides as far as I was aware you need to be a registered student or teacher to buy the education versions

Fair enough. I happen to be studying (again) so I could get it that way.

Just make sure your PC has 2 or 3GB of RAM if its Windows XP or Vista.

Why? Unless you are not running Windows or if you are you are running 64 bit Vista then there is no point. 32 bit Windows can't address more than 3GB of RAM.

System requirements , I suspect this would be minimum;

Intel® Pentium® 4, Intel Centrino®, Intel Xeon®, or Intel Core™ Duo (or compatible) processor
Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista™ Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions)
512MB of RAM
64MB of video RAM
1GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation)
1,024x768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card
DVD-ROM drive
QuickTime 7 software required for multimedia features I've just Installed Photoshop CS3 Extended on my laptop which has 512MB of Ram with Windose XP Pro running.

Be careful as there are cheap copies available in Asia, around $AUD10, the serial number is the same for all :o so they tell you when you have to register the software not to do it on line but to phone up so they don't pick up that it is a illegal copy

You didn't hear this from me but you can download it from the internet and then get the crack from there as well - and no - I haven't done it myself but I do know some one who has it and it works fine.
