Parks Victoria have found the Sunraysia rims on some of their 4WDs' have weld cracks around the seams. The cracks are wide enough for the tyres to deflate.
Anyone else been suffering from leaky tyres ??

Which manufacturer? Sunraysia seems to be a style used by a number of manufacturers.

I will find that out on Monday, I do know that they are being replaced with white ROH Sunraysia rims, the faulty rims were black if that matters.

Thanks for the Info Gav , I've got white Sunraysia's Rims and haven't had a flat tyre with them yet.. having said that they might just be a look alike , they are made by King if that helps.

we had a safety alert come through work about this. IIRC it was chinese made "speedy" branded wheels that where failing. Aussie made ie ROH etc where deemed to be okay. I will dig up the alert on tuesday and post it up.

The original, genuine 'Sunraysia' brand wheel was made by Wheels International (now long gone, can't remember who bought them out ) in Sydney to mimic the fancy off road wheels appearing in the US in the early seventies.
The original Sunraysias were ten spoke, with the spokes directly welded to the rim and the centres were cut out of 3/8" plate ! (I still have four, Jeep wheel stud pattern and the ones I have used ROH rims)
Amazing how they created a generic name for all 'spoker' wheels since.
