Hi all.

Here is something id like opinions on. I have read the forum but havent seen anything the same. I have a tdi 300 disco1 I put a new clutch in it at 120000its now 160000k. the pedal some times goes to the floor disengaging in the last 2 inches. I can pull the pedal back to the right position with my foot. There is no fluid leaks, and no air in the system. only happens when driving when stationary peddal operates normaly. The peddal return spring seems ok. Since i cant view what the slave cylinder is doing. are there any suggestions. Im hoping its going to be a master or slave kit.
Thanks Mark

If there is no fluid disappearing, it is unlikely to be the slave cylinder. It could be the centre valve in the master cylinder - this would give that symptom without loss of fluid.

Other suspects would be the pushrod on the master cylinder or the clutch fork pivot, although the symptoms don't really match either of these.

my 93 disco has a rod\bolt at the pedal end of the master cylinder push rod.this rod is shaped like a cam so you can adjust the pedal height.make sure the rod\bolt is tight it may be moving allowing different pedal heights.dont know if yours is the same though

As above, sounds like the bolt on the end of the MC pushrod has come loose.

Six screws for the MC cover, then faff about with the bolt.
