Door strap weak

My D2 disco driver side door has a very weak 'strap', for want of knowledge for correct term, that allows the door to swing without control when door opened. I notice there is a crack in metal of door where the weight of door is leading to metal fatigue. What to do??? :(

Buy a new strap?

I had my driver's side door strap go on the Defender and bought a new one.

Gee it's nice not to catch the door every time as it swings back on itself.
