Now we all know where you live. :p :wasntme:
I don't have my Defender yet, but our Freelander isn't coming up anywhere we've lived with it. :(

Found mine on there too
But mine is parked outside my old house in the Uk. Funny that as it has been living in Aus for the nearly the last 3 years. Maybe that was the last time there was blue sky over my old Uk house :D:D

Mine is parked skew on the front lawn as I had the winch cable up over the roof to a belt around my waste while I was high pressure washing my roof tiles.
All you can make out is the white tropical roof and a little sand coloured bonnet.

You lot must be paying for your google earth, the one i am getting is not real time in fact its about 3 years old, the photos coming up.
how do i know well in the house paddock there are 3 piles of tree trimings that i had placed and hadn't burnt , that was three years ago, the spots have re grown , plus my next door neighbours trees are like toothpicks.

had 1 update about 6 months ago for my families place in Melbourne and none in the last 5 years for the place at Mt Macedon... same reason - I can see the next door neighbours sewage runoff has kept the grass green (when it wasn't working properly 5 years back!)

All you people who are amazed by the Google Earth high resolution picture areas will be saddened to hear that it is not all satellite imagery but a lot of aerial imagery added in.

It's just a bit of a lottery John, Mine was about 3 years old too until just recently I noticed they changed the photo of my area. It's proabably about 18months old now. Infact I found my car at work too :D.
The whole thing is a big mosaic and I guess they gradually improve the quality of the shots - unless you live next to the pentagon!!!

Nice one CapeLandy - Your not to far from wear my Father in-law grew up. Forgot the name of the suburb (And probably couldn't pronounce it anyway ;) ) but on the beach, north of Capetown. Sounds like you live in a lovely town.:)

Could be either Blouberg (BlueMountain) or Melkbos (milkbush).
By the way,I'm off to Zambia tomorrow at 6am for some work in a copper mine. Lovely country for the landy but unfortunately will be on the asphalt in an Avis Polo for 4 days.

I just had another look. The image must be over a year old. My IIA is still in my neighbour's yard - before he gave it to me. That means the Disco being worked on was before I took it to Derby last year. I guestimate the image to have been tsken in April-May 2007. I got the Series in July 2007. I checked the pH and is acidic though not a lot. We thought we'd add some bicarb of soda.
I pumped from the halfway down into the pool (I didn't buy enough flexible pipe to reach the bottom :( ).
We'll have to pump it out as the pool fence has been removed and we will be going away in two weeks time so we don't want water in it for reasons of safety.
Maybe straight into the gutter?
Ron
Grass doesn't look yellow in the pic.

I've found 3 of my Range Rovers, and a Morris Minor (with black out bonnet) :).
It's fairly recent as we've only had the red Rangie for 18mths.
Disregard the home pin, it's there so it's not on top of the house.

No, it went yellow after sometime. The pool is long gone - and I had the last truckload of soil delivered, dumped, and spread over the hole last weekkend

Is that your crop next door, Scott? The means of affording a P38A? :p
Didn't you know that drug dealers drive black Rangies, not black-bonneted Morries? :D

The local dealers here drive black 300Cs & Porsches, I just don't want to blend in with the crowd.

Of course! The 300C is too cheap in the USA for a drug dealer to be seen driving one -- but here...............
