G'day Guys,
Not been around much the last couple of months for various reasons - mainly too busy building up the D110 to my vision of the Ultimate tourer!!! see my website LRHybrid100 Website (http://www.users.on.net/%7ELRHybrid100/) under "D110 Details"
My Long Service leave starts next week, I have also tagged on all my annual leave and some unpaid leave - why not I have resigned!!! Let them struggle
So we don't really have a schedule - leave late next week and return back to Sydney for November(ish) but we plan to do the following route:
Sydney / Wagga / Mildura / Broken Hill / Port Augusta / Roxby Downs / Coward Springs / William Creek / Coober Pedy / Oodnadatta / Marla / Yulara / Kings Canyon / Hermannsburg / Alice / Yuendumu / Rabbit Flat / Wolfe Creek / Halls Creek / Bungle Bungles / Kununurra / Wyndham / El Questro / Kalumburu / Mitchell Plateau / Fitzroy Crossing / Broome / Cape Leveque / Derby / Drysdale River Dampier / Eighty Mile Beach / Port Headland / Karajini / Exmouth / Onslow / Ningaloo / Monkey Mia / Kalbarri / Geraldton / Cervantes / Perth and then back towards the East Coast
If your interested I will try to update my webpage LRHybrid100 Website (http://www.users.on.net/%7ELRHybrid100/) under "Travels" which pulls in a Google Map of our trip.
If anyone is travelling around in these areas or lives anywhere along this route and wishes to meet up at any stage just post up some details in this tread or email me from my website.
I hope to keep the Solihull brand alive out in this great land of ours (yes I am now also an Aussie)
See you all soon and wishing us luck

Have a great trip Mark. :)
Make sure you spend plenty of time on the west coast (Exmouth and Coral Bay in particular). I regret not spending more time there when I did "The big trip".
So have fun, slow down, relax, enjoy, drink, be merry, catch a few fish, drink some more and return safely.:D

Hi Mark
sounds like a great trip. I'll be in the Kimberley for 3 months (LSL also) and be in Broome at end of July then up Gibb River Rd and Kulumbaru etc. Be good to catch up. Hows that fuel tank going? Its the one I sent from the Alfred Hosp a couple of years ago

very much so - it takes a couple of weeks to wind down after the flurry of all the preparations. This is why I am glad we have taken our time to get where we want.
We are currently in Yulara - actually sat on a bench using some power supply to recharge the laptop :wasntme:
We are staying here a couple of more nights than planned - as we did in Coober Pedy but that all the fun of our trip.
We saw the sunset over Uluru last night and will again tonight from yet another spot.
We got up this morning before sunrise (7.31am local time) and saw the sun come up over Uluru and then did the walk around the great Rock itself - amazing, you see so much more than if you climbed the rock which as a matter of fact the climb was closed due to high wind conditions on the top.
We will get up before sunrise again tomorrow morning and take some more pix and then off to Kata Tjuta (otherwise known as the Olgas) to do another walk "The Valley of the Winds" before lunch and some more relaxing.
Its a hard life......
