Hi All

Been away for quite a while, but I finally bit the bullet and got another Landy (YES).Bought a 96 1 owner 300tdi auto Discovery with 119,000km on the clock for $13k.It's been an absolute pleasure to drive (when I can get Steph out of it, she likes it so much she thinks it's hers). I have a question, My brother living in the UK sent me a key fob for the remote central locking from a company called Duckworthparts,They say that it has to be programmed by a Landrover stealership, I rang them and a highly reputable aftermarket spares/service company,Landrover didn't want to know me and the service company tell me that the Aussie model remote works on 411 mhz and the remote fob I got works on 433mhz. My brother tells me he got it for 20 pounds compared to $150--$280 AUD. Any idea's

Regards Ian

According to RAVE ( If you haven't got a copy, you should - see markets) it's 315mhz, but generally they are correct.

A couple of choices:

1.Rover fobs (http://www.alarmremotes.co.uk/new_page_4.htm)

2. Get brother to send you a 10AS alarm unit (and linked remotes if available) from a wrecker in the UK and swap it over. (Providing it works and was unlocked in donor vehicle)
