Just bought what I consider a bargain.
My 1st disco after 6 Rangies. I bought a 94 es disco with 117k on the clock.
I just need to fix the passenger door central locking which kind of opens but the little button on the door keeps going back down and I cant open from outside and only from inside if i pull the button up at same time as i pull the door opener.

Everything works on car and I actually really like the ride.
I think i might be converted. the barn door is great also and cd stacker works a treat.

Any advise on which part or spring might need replacing or a way around big repair bill be much appreciated.

Hi Big guy

I think you just have frozen internal parts // or just too much dirt
The electrical actuator can't complete its cycle properly

Take off the internal door trim and clean all locking parts inside with WD40

Naaaaa ... RRC's are the best ... you'l come back

I don't have personal experience with this problem, but recall seeing many posts about this apparently common problem with discos.

It is a spring that needs to be replaced. If you do a search you should find information about sources for the springs, instead of buying an assembly from Land Rover.

Here is one thread.

It is a spring problem.....price from UK delivered better than you find locally. Comes with instructions.
