Does it weigh under 20kg? If it does, then Aus Post will deliver it.

Hi,

AFAIK all pushies get delivered to retailers in a long carton with the handlebars and front wheel removed. Go to a bike shop and get one of these cartons then post it like Slunnie says.

Years ago I was in Perth and bought a flash MTB. For some reason they were heaps cheaper over there than Vic where the national distributor was. Rode around the bikepaths over there and then put it in the carton and checked it in as baggage and flew back to Melb. Too easy.

Box from a bike shop sounds like a great idea, but bike will be too big for Australia Post's size restrictions.

Maybe busfreight (http://www.greyhoundfreight.com.au/)?

Cheers

Don't know about A Post size restrictions. Just remembered that you have to undo the pedals as well to get a bike in the box.

I didn't realise they had that also.

Thanks chaps,

I'll probably try and put it in the post, maybe remove the front wheel and wrap it up, take of the peddles, lower the seat and twist the bars around. :o:o

That should get me within the Aust Post dimensions hopefully. It will definately be under 20kgs depending how easy I go on the tape :D:D:D Other than that I'll give the bus freight a run ....

Cheers

There's a mob on e-bay who deliver door to door all up the East Coast.

Alladdin I think they are called. Find them under "services", "ebay deliveries" or some such in the auction categories.
