Can you post a photo..

If its the euro style ones, they're usually only about 20mm away from your panels so if skippy gives it a nudge your panel gets squished.

Plenty of photos on the pommie websites to look at and give it a go yourself to make them up, they are a good idea.

Never seen one here except on the odd overseas tourist, so I rather doubt if they do exist.

Do you mean the bar that goes from the front, protects the front fender and goes down to the sill?

There is one in the Seabird tip, north of Perth, towards the top of the scrap metal pile.

I threw it away last week.

As others have said why
Simply a British idea that is useless under Australian conditions
If you hit a roo they damage the body panels as thier mountings are so poorly designed. I suspect the designers had no idea what it means to hit something like we could hit on a daily basis.
IMHO

I think that is perhaps a little harsh - they are simply designed to protect the bodywork from light scrub, not animals. Not useless, just not what most people here need; I can visualise a few people wanting something like them.

The reality is that if you hit a decent sized roo at any speed any bullbar is going to be damaged. If they were cheap enough and protected your lights and radiator a bit in the scrub why wouldnt you get one. I like the way they look.

One like this but for a defender BRUSH BAR BY SIMBARS - STANDARD WRAP-AROUND - Exterior Accessories for Land Rovers & Range Rovers (http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9403D.cfm)
i like the look of them and it would keep the front end weight down.
i thought i remember someone saying one of the 4wd suppliers was going to import them...

Norforce Surveillance Land Rovers have them fitted. I have a PDF file out of an RPS. If you're interested, I'll dig it out & post it, but it's on the other computer. They should be available from any Land Rover dealer who can order from CAT.

Are you talking about this sort of style,

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2009/01/449.jpg

this is one of my old landys which had one on for a bit . They look ok but are not very strong and the big problem with them is that you tap the corner of the bar and not only bend the bar but push the bar into the wing and bugger your wing as well as your bull bar .:)

Well if you want it for the woolsrths car park then fine. But pretty much crap for anything else :) Would not want to hit anything with it :)
