Can any one help

I am posting this photo in the hope that some one may have one of these pintal hooks or knows where there is one or may see one in their travels . I need one to put on my Ser 2
It is the one that were fitted to all the original Ser 2 Army landrover .

Have a look on Ebay,there is one on there at the moment.I saved the link but the computer had a hickup and I had to re-start so I lost it.
It says Ser1 2 and 3 does look different than your pic.

Not genuine but I note that the Man's Toy Shop in Qld sells new pintle hooks. Not too expensive, either, e.g. This is their PK11 at $89. They have others in their catalogue but they aren't shown in the website.

If you dont nessesarilly need an original, Truckline and Colrain have them on the shelf ranging from about $100 up.

There was one at Colrain Dandenong when I was there a couple of weeks ago which looked a bit closer to the pic, same sort of Tongue type thing but different latch, the cross bar wasnt so long either.

look on eaby in the uk....only problem is postage would be a killer for something like that.

i dont know if they are exactly the same but people may put it under this heading not always knowing what they have

No that is not a Land Rover pintle of any type. But that vendor often has misleading ads.

You may know more than I do, however I thought that those early types were retrofitted with the rotating NATO type whilst in service. Something to do with the jaw jamming the ring or coming undone.

If you are committed to the original type, PM "Bobslandies (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members/bobslandies.html)" he had a couple some time back.
