A friend is about to replace his Series2 Disco airbags with a set of standard D2 springs and plates (one too many failures). He has asked how to disable the controller and the aircompressor. I assume pull the compressor fuse for a start. I know this has been done to S2 Discos before as I have sold a few kits.
Cheers, Erich.

Gday Erich,
You probably can also get it programmed out by a specialist that has the computer kit to interrogate the system - eg Graeme Coopers, Davis Performance Landys, LandRover etc.

Hmm, I'll have a look tomorrow on T4 and see if it's an option. It may be on FaultMate but I only have the licence for my P38A.

Is he interested in selling the Bags, even if he has 1 good one I would like it as a trip spare.

At this stage he was didn't want to burn his bridges in case he was unhappy with the springs. He was going to keep them in his shed for a bit. Cheers, Erich.

I had a look but I need the VIN to get to the D2 software.

Thanks to all who replied. The airbags were replaced today and he is very happy with the set up. Will get to a test book in a month or so as he is over 200kms from the nearest dealer.
Cheers, Erich.
